SAN BRUNO, Calif., March 27 (UPI) -- The video-sharing, California-based Web site YouTube handed out its first awards to top vote-getting videos: a kiwi, a ninja and businessmen on treadmills.
"After five days of fervent ranking, the YouTube community selected these seven videos as the champions. Congratulations to all the winners!" read the page that launches the winning clips. YouTube handed out awards for most adorable, most inspirational, best music video, most creative, best serial, best commentary and best comedy. The winning entries were posted by site veterans such as Smosh, OK Go and the Wine Kones.

"lonelygirl15," the hit online series that got its start on YouTube was shut out.
The winners were announced Monday.
