NEW YORK, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- New York's IFC Center plans to celebrate the film career of director Robert Altman by airing all 27 of his films.
The New York Post reported that the honorary review will begin on Friday at the New York theater and will run all of Altman's works, including those that earned him five Oscar nominations for Best Director, before concluding on Jan. 23.
The famed director, who died Nov. 20 at the age of 81, received Oscar nods for films such as "Short Cuts" and "The Player," but never won the coveted award during his career.
In addition to those films, the IFC Center's tribute will feature films from Altman's earlier career such as "M.A.S.H" and "The Delinquents," along with his most recent hit, "A Prairie Home Companion."
The paper said that also on tap for the film celebration is Altman's "Nashville," "Brewster McCloud," "Images" and "That Cold Day in the Park."
