Beatles album covers to adorn U.K. stamps

LONDON, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Britain's Royal Mail is putting a collection of album covers by the Beatles on its postage stamps.

Six classics, including Revolver and Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, will make up the special set to be issued Jan. 9.

The BBC said postal authorities would issue other special stamp sets during the year, including historic British army uniforms, famous British inventions and a salute to the 50th season of the television series "The Sky at Night."
