LONDON, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Singer Leona Lewis says she is still in shock after her "unbelievable" win this season on the hit British TV series, "X-Factor."

The 21-year-old singer, whose first musical single has sold more than 50,000 copies, told The Mail on Sunday her victory Saturday on the reality TV series was a dream come true.

"I'm just shocked. It's unbelievable," she confessed. "I feel like my dream has come true, the dream I've been dreaming since a little girl has come true."

"X-Factor" host Simon Cowell said that the "A Moment Like This" singer, who is now the first woman to ever win the ITV series, will now take her time making a quality debut album.

"Leona has an opportunity, I think, to become a major, major worldwide star," Cowell, who recently signed a new three-year deal with ITV, told the paper. "We're not going to make an album quickly; we're going to make the best possible album."
