The honorees also included the Fisk Jubilee Singers, songwriters Boudleaux & Felice Bryant and Maestro Kenneth D. Schermerhorn.

"The induction of our inaugural class of artists not only celebrates the diversity of music in our city, but also creates a new way to honor their legendary achievements," said Butch Spyridon, president of the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau. "Artists like these are the reason Nashville is known around the world as Music City."

The honorees will be permanently saluted with their names inlaid into the sidewalk on Demonbreun Street from 4th Avenue South to the Music Row Roundabout.
