LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Hollywood execs behind the hit TV series "Desperate Housewives" are at an impasse over the recent announcement that star Marcia Cross is pregnant with twins.
Entertainmentwise reported that while co-star Eva Longoria confirmed that series execs were planning on writing Cross' pregnancy into the ABC show, the fact that Cross recently learned she and her husband, stockbroker Tom Mahoney, are having twins could complicate matters.
Cross has been attempting to convince "Housewives" producers to allow her TV character, Bree Van De Kamp, to mimic her pregnancy on the popular series.
Yet the possibility still remains that Cross could find herself living her pregnancy in real life and on television as the "Housewives" third season will find Bree marrying her second husband, who is played by Kyle McLachlan, said Entertainmentwise.
