Reunited Moss and Doherty irks mother

LONDON, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Kate Moss and British rocker Pete Doherty appear happy over their recent romantic reunion, but the English model's mother is concerned, a report says.

The Daily Mail said Linda Moss has opposed her 32-year-old daughter's reunion with the Babyshambles front man since their previous relationship resulted in her cocaine use being publicly exposed, her career nearly ending and the couple's temporary split.

"When Kate said she was going to give the relationship with Pete a proper try, she and her mum Linda had a furious row," a source told the newspaper. "Linda thinks Pete has only been a disaster for Kate; she tried to tell her not to be so stupid.

"But Kate's response was that she loves Pete and knows she can't be happy without him."

The couple first met in January 2005 and broke up after Doherty failed to complete rehab in November of that year.

Since then the once drug-addled singer has completed rehab and now the reunited couple has been spotted in romantic situations in London over the past few weeks, the Daily Mail said.
