MONTE CARLO, Monaco, June 21 (UPI) -- There is speculation in Monaco that Prince Albert may soon announce his engagement to his girlfriend, Charlene Wittstock.
The South African swimmer's appearance at major events with the prince has fueled rumors of a pending engagement over the last year, Hellomagazine.com reported.

The 48-year-old Albert, who has publicly said he would not be pressured into marriage, has reportedly introduced Wittstock, 28, to his older sister, Princess Caroline, and the Catholic Archbishop of Monaco, Bernard Barsi.
While the royal family has not commented on the rumors -- which have also been reported by the Times Online -- Hellomagazine.com reports that the couple was recently seen picking out a ring.
