SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 28 (UPI) -- Actor Daniel Baldwin has been arrested in a Santa Monica, Calif., hotel on charges of possession of cocaine.
The brother of Alec, Stephen and Billy Baldwin was arrested Saturday by police responding to a report that a woman was threatened at the Ocean Park Motel, TMZ.com reported.
Police sources said Baldwin and a man named Buddy Winston were in the room cited by the complainant and were arrested on cocaine possession charges. Baldwin was released on $10,000 bail.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney has referred the case to Santa Monica City prosecutors, which means the most serious charge Baldwin could face would be misdemeanor drug possession if the case goes ahead, TMZ.com said.
Baldwin has appeared in a number of Hollywood films as well as TV series such as "Homicide: Life on the Street" and "NYPD Blue."
