LOS ANGELES, April 15 (UPI) -- Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will raise their child in the Church of Scientology as opposed to the Catholic faith in which Holmes was raised.
Cruise told ABC's Diane Sawyer that Holmes had converted to Scientology, the faith based on science-fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard's writings.

She is due to give birth soon.
The BBC reports Cruise said Holmes' family is supportive of her, a rebuke of recent rumors.
The couple have been engaged since June 2005 and will be married this year.
