Cincinnati AM station joins XM lineup

CINCINNATI, March 2 (UPI) -- XM Satellite Radio announced Thursday it is adding Clear Channel's talk/sports radio station WLW-AM, Cincinnati, to its lineup.

WLW becomes the only terrestrial radio station carried on the XM network, Billboard Radio Monitor reported.

"For the first time in 67 years, we are truly 'the nation's station' again," Clear Channel/Cincinnati AM Operations Director Darryl Parks said in a statement.

With a far-reaching 500,000 watt signal, WLW used "the nation's station" as its slogan early on, Billboard said.

In other XM news Thursday, United Airlines announced it is adding some of XM's channels for in-flight listening by passengers.
