Radio reporter arrested in kid porn sting

ISLIP, N.Y., Feb. 15 (UPI) -- A New York radio traffic reporter has been charged with downloading thousands of child pornography photos, including some of adults raping toddlers.

James Buckley, who has worked for WALK-FM, Patchogue, N.Y., for 22 years, pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of possession of child pornography in Central Islip federal court Tuesday, the New York Post reported Wednesday.

Buckley was forced to put his Shoreham, N.Y., home up to meet his $350,000 bail and will remain on electronic monitoring and is barred from having computers in his home, the Post said.

"Considering the nature of what Mr. Buckley has been accused of, he should be considered a danger to the community," Assistant U.S. Attorney Allen Bode said.

Buckley was caught in the snare of "Operation Predator" when he allegedly tried to swap kiddie porn with undercover German and U.S. agents, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said. The thousands of photos included very young children having sex with adults, prosecutors said.

Buckley, who currently faces a maximum 19 years in prison if convicted, could still face more charges, Bode told the Post.
