LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Actor Brad Renfro has pleaded not guilty to trying to buy drugs from undercover officers during a Los Angeles police sting.

The 23-year-old star of "Apt Pupil" and "The Client" is free on $10,000 bond and in a residential drug treatment program, Court TV reported Thursday.

His attorney told reporters outside a Los Angeles courtroom Wednesday Renfro was "looking forward to resolving it all as soon as possible and getting back to acting."

Renfro may accept a plea deal on the felony drug charges during his Feb. 23 hearing, his attorney told Courttv.com.
