DETROIT, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Rap superstar Eminem announced on a hometown Detroit radio station that he and his former wife, Kim, are a couple again.
"We have reconciled and we are probably going to remarry," Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, 33, told the WKQI-FM "Mojo in the Morning" show Wednesday.
The couple went through an ugly divorce and custody battle for their daughter, Hailie, who turns 10 on Christmas Day. The divorce was final in 2001.
After referring to Kim, 30, as "my wife," Eminem confirmed recent sightings of the family together around Motown saying, "We are back together."
Although they were only married three years, Eminem noted their "back and forth relationship" has been going on for 17 years.
"So many people have those," he said. "We just happen to be the in spotlight."
He said their first marriage was in front of three people. "With everything we've been through" look for a major blowout the second time around, he said.
