LOS ANGELES, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Actors JoBeth Williams, Julian Sands and Peter Weller will appear during the fifth season of Fox TV's "24," it was announced Friday.

Producers of the thriller are keeping the plotline under wraps, but confirmed Sands will play billionaire bad guy Vladamir Bierko, Weller will be federal agent Christopher Henderson and Williams will play his wife, Miriam, Daily Variety reported Friday.

The fifth season of "24" picks up with a two-parter starting Jan. 15, 18 months after the end of season four, with Kiefer Sutherland's presumed dead character Jack Bauer living a new life with Connie Britton's Diane and her son Derek played by Brady Corbet.

Sean Astin and Jean Smart were earlier announced as new "24" cast members.
