CBS Entertainment Chief Nina Tassler worked with the duo during their short stint with "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" on the Eye Network.

"They are brilliant writers and incredibly charismatic people," Tassler told The Reporter. "Their characters are unique and beautifully crafted, and their storytelling expertise is virtually unparalleled."

Green and Burgess are currently wrapping up the sixth and final season of HBO's "The Sopranos."
