Rare guitars to be sold in Britain

LONDON, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Three of only 70 PRS Dragon guitars will be sold in Britain, it was reported Tuesday.

The guitars -- made in the United States of Brazilian mahogany and inlaid with precious stones as well as silver and gold -- will be sold for about $58,250, Sky News reported.

The guitars reportedly cost so much because of all the hours it takes to build them.

The Dragon isn't most expensive guitar ever, however, Sky News noted. Eric Clapton's former guitar, which he called "Blackie," was sold in a New York auction earlier this year for more than $935,000.
