'Queen' Remini nets big payday

LOS ANGELES, July 20 (UPI) -- "King of Queens" actress Leah Remini has inked a deal with CBS putting her at or near the salary level of co-star Kevin James.

The one-year deal came after weeks of intense negotiations, Variety reported Wednesday. When all was said and done, Remini's salary tripled into the neighborhood of James' $400,000 per episode.

TV Guide Online says Remini and James could be network TV's highest paid stars at this point.
