'Blade' star battles DNA test, foreclosure

ORLANDO, Fla., April 13 (UPI) -- Actor Wesley Snipes is struggling to stop the foreclosure of his Florida property and a DNA test demanded by an Indiana woman.

Snipes owes more than $23,000 in back taxes, interest and fines on a 4,000-foot Orlando-area residence, Orange County officials say.

The property was set to be auctioned Tuesday but that was delayed until June, "Celebrity Justice" said Wednesday. In 2003 Snipes lost another property to a foreclosure.

Meanwhile, Lanise Pettis' two-year-old paternity suit, filed in New York against the "Blade" star, has resulted in a court-ordered DNA test. His failure to appear for the test has led to a New York arrest warrant, Snipes' lawyer said.

The actor has filed a suit of his own to get out of the DNA test, the lawyer said.
