King was on hand to discuss "Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King," a limited series that's adapted from his anthology of 20 short stories, in which subjects include murderous revenge, dead rock stars, zombies, an evil toy and a wicked step-father.

Also taking the stage to talk about their new TNT projects were the cast of the network's upcoming six-week-long frontier epic, "Into the West;" Kyra Sedgwick, who plays a detective in charge of high-profile crimes on "The Closer;" and Gary Cole, who plays a member of a team of crime fighters tracking down Los Angeles' most-wanted fugitives, in "Wanted."

TNT also announced three new original movies are in the works: a sequel to last year's top-rated adventure movie, "The Librarian," starring "ER" veteran Noah Wyle; an adaptation of "Pleading Guilty," based on Scott Turow's popular legal thriller; and "Avenger," based on the best-selling thriller by Frederick Forsyth.
