Drummer says T-Bird 'born to stall'

DALLAS, April 8 (UPI) -- E-Street Band drummer and Conan O'Brien bandleader Max Weinberg is suing a Dallas car dealer over a deal that turned sour, "Celebrity Justice" reports.

In a lawsuit acquired by the syndicated tabloid TV series, Weinberg claims he paid more than $93,000 for a 1957 Ford Thunderbird of "superior quality" with "original parts" from T-Bird dealer Amos Minter.

But the lawsuit says what was delivered to his New Jersey home was a damaged, rusty replacement for the car Weinberg was shown.

The suit seeks compensatory damages, punitive damages and attorney's fees.

Minter has refused to comment on the suit.
