Actor denies being 'Punk'd'

LOS ANGELES, April 8 (UPI) -- "Alias" star Michael Vartan denies reports he refused to sign a release after being "Punk'd" by Ashton Kutcher.

Published reports said Vartan was angered by the MTV-sponsored prank in which parts began falling off a plane he was getting ready to fly on, the World Entertainment News Network reported Friday.

The reports went on to say Vartan was so mad, he refused to sign the release letting the prank be shown on Kutcher's MTV show, "Punk'd."

However, Vartan says none of it ever happened.

"I was never 'Punk'd' on an airplane, so I don't know where they got the story," Vartan said. "I'm terrified of flying so to get on an airplane and then have pieces of the plane start falling off -- that would be very funny."
