Charles and Camilla to 'fess up in vows

LONDON, April 7 (UPI) -- Britain's Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles will publicly admit and seek forgiveness for their adultery in their civil wedding Saturday.

At a press briefing by Charles' administrative staff at Clarence House, details of the vows and confession were released Thursday, which were drawn from the Church of England's 1662 Book of Common Prayer.

The couple will recite "We acknowledge and bewail our manifold sins and wickedness, which we, from time to time, most grievously have committed, by thought, word and deed, against thy Divine Majesty, provoking most justly thy wrath and indignation against us."

Charles has publicly admitted to committing adultery with Camilla, while he was married to the late Princess Diana.

CNN reported there will be no scriptural readings nor music at the 30-minute civil ceremony in the Guildhall, although the couple will move to St. George's chapel after the service for a Church of England blessing. They will then attend a reception of about 700 people at Buckingham Palace.
