NEW YORK, April 3 (UPI) -- Actor Vincent Pastore, who appeared on HBO's "The Sopranos" allegedly beat up his fiance and abandoned her on a New York street.
Jeff Schwartz, lawyer for Lisa Regina, said Pastore became enraged because a visit to Regina's family in New Jersey had been delayed by her, the New York Post reported Sunday.
While driving in Manhattan, Pastore allegedly smashed Regina's head against the dashboard of his car, then stopped his SUV, dragged the 44-year-old woman from the vehicle by her hair and slammed her to the ground, injuring her tailbone, according to Schwartz.
After Pastore drove off, Regina called police, gave a statement and was treated for cuts, bruises and a black eye at New York's Beth Israel hospital.
Police sources told the Post they expect Pastore to the surrender to police this week and be charged with assault.
Pastore's representatives could not be reached for comment, the Post said.
