And now for libido disco

NEW YORK, March 3 (UPI) -- A New York artist is selling an album comprised of the sounds of people in the throes of sexual ecstasy, the Daily News said Thursday.

Jessica Vale's "The Sex Album" also offers listeners the sounds of spanking and vibrators, among other things, much of it processed through a computer so there is enough rhythm for customers to dance to the "music."

"We also recorded people in bathtubs and showers and captured those sounds," said Vale, who offered her own moans at various points. "Velcro, like in Velcro wrist restraints, was also great source material."

Her album, available only at thesexalbum.com, seeks to cross a threshold that current pop music only toys with.

"A lot of sexual music out there is filled with silly, superficial stuff. We wanted something that not only sounded sexy, but hit on an emotional level."
