NEW YORK, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Hollywood stars Bobby Cannavale, Ethan Hawke and Parker Posey have begun their runs in the new Off-Broadway production of David Rabe's "Hurlyburly."

The New Group is presenting the first New York revival of the Tony Award-nominated play as the second show of its 2004-2005 mainstage season.

The limited Off-Broadway engagement began Tuesday night and will run through March 5 at The New Group @ Theatre Row on Manhattan's West 42nd Street.

Written by Rabe and directed by Scott Elliott, "Hurlyburly" depicts the addled lives of four Los Angeles men caught in love-hate relationships with Hollywood women during the mid-1980s.

The new production, which co-stars Wallace Shawn and Josh Hamilton and has a newly revised script by Rabe, marks the first time the show has been revived in New York since its celebrated 1984 Broadway production, which went on to earn four Tony nominations.
