Donald Trump cries foul over Emmys

BURBANK, Calif., Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Developer Donald Trump said he was "robbed" when "The Amazing Race" won an Emmy and his show, "The Apprentice," did not, "Access Hollywood" reported Tuesday.

In an interview with the syndicated tabloid show, Trump said "The Apprentice" -- a ratings winner for NBC -- deserved the Emmy for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program. "The Amazing Race" has struggled with poor ratings on CBS.

"I think I was robbed," said Trump. "I think 'The Apprentice' should have won and most people in that room felt 'The Apprentice' should have won."

Trump said "The Apprentice's" loss reflects poorly on the Emmy Awards, which were presented Sunday in ceremonies at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

"I really feel like they lost credibility," he said. "Nobody understands it."
