Christopher Nolan ("Memento") is directing "Batsman Begins" from a screenplay by David Goyer ("Blade," "Blade 2"). The film is set for a Summer 2005 debut.

Starring Christian Bale ("American Psycho") as the Caped Crusader and Oscar-winner Michael Caine as his loyal servant, Alfred, "Batman Begins" is described as an examination of the origin of the Batman legend -- as Bruce Wayne searches the world for a way to fight injustice after his parents are murdered.
