NEW YORK, April 14 (UPI) -- Rocker and actress Courtney Love claims her New York apartment was burglarized by a woman posing as a cleaning lady last week.

"She sat in the lobby for five hours and the concierge wouldn't let her up," Love told the New York Post. "Then she got in somehow and took all the cash in the house. It was only $600, but the (expletive) got away with a bunch of bank documents, too."

The alleged incident is the latest in a string of troubles Love has had in recent weeks.

Her trial on disorderly conduct and drug charges starts Friday in Los Angeles.

The charges prompted California authorities to award temporary custody of her daughter, Frances Bean, to the child's paternal grandmother.

Love was also recently charged in New York for assaulting a man at a club with a microphone stand and she made headlines when she flashed her breasts at David Letterman in an appearance on his show.
