Rosman to direct Duff in new comedy

HOLLYWOOD, March 3 (UPI) -- Teenage actress Hilary Duff will reunite with her frequent "Lizzie McGuire" director, Mark Rosman, on a big-screen romantic comedy.

In addition to working on Duff's popular "Lizzie McGuire" television series, Rosman also directed the 16-year-old actress in "A Cinderella Story," which wrapped last year.

Rosman will next direct Duff in "The Perfect Man," Variety reported Wednesday.

Duff will play a daughter searching for an ideal mate for her single mom. "But she can't find the right man for her mother, so she makes one up," Rosman told Variety.

The film is scheduled to begin production in late April.
