'Sex,' 'Angels' win big at SAG Awards

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- "Sex and the City" and "Angels in America" took top television honors at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles Sunday.

On the night that it ended its six-year run on HBO, "Sex and the City" took the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

"Angels in America," also an HBO production, earned two top prizes -- when Al Pacino won for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries and Meryl Streep won for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries.

HBO added two more prizes for its funeral home drama "Six Feet Under." Frances Conroy won for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series and the cast won for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Kiefer Sutherland won for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for the Fox political thriller "24."

Tony Shalhoub ("Monk") won for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, and Megan Mullally ("Will & Grace") won for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series.
