HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Singer Harry Connick Jr. has made a deal to star in and produce a musical for California-based 20th Century Fox.
Based on an idea by Connick, "Ben Invention" is a romantic musical comedy about an isolated man who ventures into civilization in search of love. Mike Giardi is writing the script, Daily Variety reported Sunday.

The film is the first to be set up by Connick and agent Scott Landis through their new production company, HC Prods.
Overseeing development for the studio is director of production Steve Asbell and producer Hutch Parker.
