LOS ANGELES, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, stars of Fox TVs new hit, "The Simple Life," are headed to Wal-Mart via a DVD series, according to the Daily Variety.
In what is being termed as the quickest turnaround yet from major network television show to DVD, Fox Home Entertainment will release the seven episodes of "The Simple Life" on Jan. 20 to retail, just one week after the reality show airs its final episode.
Fox Music will begin selling on Tuesday a remix of the show's theme song, called the "Paris and Nicole Remix" on Apple's iTunes Music Store. The single will mix the original tune with dialogue snippets, including Hilton's quote from the show "What is Wal-Mart? Is it like they sell wall stuff?" The remixed theme also will be released to radio stations.
"The Simple Life" has become a runaway hit for Fox, having won its time slot for adults 18-49 each time it has aired since Dec. 2.
