Move over Dionne, here comes Ron

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- From 1963 into the 1980s, Dionne Warwick was the voice associated with composer Burt Bacharach's stream of pop hits but now it is Ronald Isley's turn.

Bacharach and Isley of the veteran R&B group, The Isley Brothers, teamed up on a collection of the songwriter's hits.

"Here I Am" was released this month on DreamWorks Records. In addition to Bacharach's best-known songs, it includes two new ones, "Count on Me" and "Love's (Still) the Answer."

The classics include "Alfie," "Make It Easy on Yourself," "Windows of the World," "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head," "The Look of Love" and "A House is not a Home."

"I've been waiting to record these songs for 30 years," Isley said. "When we weren't singing rock 'n' roll and soul, I was listening to these songs by other artists and saying to myself, "Man, I sure would love to sing stuff like that.'"
