The follow-on contract will support the ongoing mission of the CSCS to train the naval personnel on surface ship weapon and combat systems maintenance and how the technologies operate.

Officials say the more than $80 million is for SAIC to provide its training analysis services to the CSCS and the Aegis Training and Readiness Center among other systems engineering support requirements.

"We look forward to continuing our support of CSCS as they provide vital training to Navy personnel critical to the operation and maintenance of Navy surface combat and weapons systems," Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit manager, said in a statement.

SAIC said in a news release the CSCS trains as many as 45,000 students every year.
