PITTSBURGH, March 4 (UPI) -- Hebco has subcontracted Geospatial Holdings to provide three-dimensional positioning support for a U.S. Navy SeaPort-enhanced contract.
Pittsburgh-based Geospatial Holdings said its Geospatial Mapping Systems Inc. subsidiary was awarded the Hebco subcontract. Hebco was selected for a SeaPort-e contract by the Navy to provide engineering and technical support services to the Virtual Systems Command, Marine Corps and others.
Geospatial Mapping Systems said it would provide its 3-D positioning technologies under Hebco's SeaPort-e prime contract.
"We are pleased to be asked to work with Hebco's team under this valuable SeaPort-e contract," Mark Smith, Geospatial chief executive, said in a statement.
"This opportunity demonstrates the strength of (the) Geospatial information technology group. Our ability to utilize technology to combine exact 3-D positioning of critical infrastructure assets with state-of-the-art information-management systems positions us as an attractive service provider to numerous agencies within the federal government."
