Teledyne to provide missile defense test and evaluation services

A Teledyne subsidiary has received a U.S. military task order for the test and evaluation of missile defense weapon systems.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., May 1 (UPI) -- Test and evaluation services for U.S. missile defense weapon systems are to be performed by Teledyne Brown Engineering Inc. under a $64.7 million task order.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity Target Execution, Asset and Material Development, Lethality Testing and Analysis, or Team DELTA, task order is for three to four years, depending on options exercised.

Teledyne Technologies Inc., parent company of Teledyne Brown Engineering, said the task order for the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command is for provision of services such as test execution, lethality development and validation, analyses, flight and ground test data collection, live fire test and evaluation, and missile integration and flight testing for weapon systems.

The task order, under a Test Execution Services and Launch Augmentation contract, supports the Test Execution Support Division within the Technical Center at USASMDC/ARSTRAT.
