Prime position for Engility Holdings on Army intel contract

CHANTILLY, Va., April 17 (UPI) -- U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command has added Engility Holdings to its roster of companies for provision of intelligence support services.

The multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity Global Intelligence Support Services contract has a total value of $7.2 billion for support of missions such as intelligence analysis, electronic systems, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance, security systems, prototype intelligence hardware/software suites and quick reaction capability systems.

The five-year GISS IDIQ was originally bid by TASC, a company that was acquired by Engility Holdings earlier this year.

"This award reflects legacy TASC's strong reputation within the intelligence community for superior management and technical innovations and builds upon the strategic partnership our team has with Army Intelligence and the Army Intelligence Campaign Initiatives Group program," said Engility President and Chief Executive Officer Tony Smeraglinolo. "We are honored to support the GISS contract and the missions it supports."
