Northrop Grumman said its work would be in the areas of training for navigation, sensor control and weapons launching.

"Northrop Grumman is pleased to extend its decades-long partnership with the Navy in the creation and enhancement of command-and-control training systems solutions that are higher performing, less expensive, and easier to build and operate," said Jack Dorsett, vice president of C2 systems, Northrop Grumman Information Systems. "We accomplish the objectives without losing fidelity -- these systems provide realistic training that allows our sailors to train as they fight."

Company work will be performed under the direction of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, in Newport, R.I.
