SRA retains Department of Homeland Security support services contract

FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 12 (UPI) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security will keep receiving support services from SRA International Inc. through a new blanket purchase agreement.

The multiple award deal is for five years and has a total value of $65 million.

Under the arrangement, SRA will provide research, development engineering and test and evaluation services to DHS's Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL).

"SRA has provided our DHS customers with practical, customer-driven solutions for many years," said SRA Intelligence, Homeland Security and Law Enforcement Group Senior Vice President Pat Burke. "We are honored to have been selected by the department for this critically important work."

The Department of Homeland Security's S&T TSL manages science and technology research and development from applied research of technologies for use at the country's nation's airports.

SRA said its work under the blanket purchase agreement will support projects in the areas such as detection, mitigation and vulnerability assessments of technologies.

SRA Inc. is a provider of IT solutions and professional services to government organizations.
