Savis Tecnologia e Sistemas S.A is a subsidiary of Embraer Defesa and Seguranca S.A.

Delivery of the units will begin this year and end in 2016.

Brazil's border security program, called Sisfron, is the integrated border monitoring system the Brazilian army is developing for the country's western border to enhance security and combat cross-border crime.

Sisfron involves mobile, remote-controlled sensor stations with monitoring and direction-finding capabilities in HF, VHF and UHF frequency ranges.

Saab said establishing a monitoring and training center are included in the contract, as is technology transfer.

"This order is further testimony to MEDAV's proven capability to provide leading solutions for threat detection and localization, "said Hans-Joachim Kolb, managing director of MEDAV GmbH. "Sisfron is a big project for border security and its success will be highly reliant on the capabilities of technical sensors."
