WALTHAM, Mass., Dec. 6 (UPI) -- A cybersecurity solution by General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions has been recognized for its excellence by Government Security News.

The recognition for the company's Fidelis XPS Advanced Threat Defense product -- Best Real-Time Dynamic Network Analysis award -- was presented at Government Security News' Fourth Annual Homeland Security Awards gala.

"This recognition from Government Security News speaks to the innovations we continue to deliver across the network security community for detecting and preventing advanced persistent threats," said Peter George, president of General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions.

"With today's rapidly expanding threat landscape, this honor is a validation to both our commercial and defense customers that our solutions provide real-time visibility and control, proactive situational awareness, content protection and threat mitigation against adversaries."

The publication's honors recognize outstanding achievements in three major areas: vendors of IT security products and solutions, vendors of physical security products and solutions and most effective government agency programs, projects or initiatives.

General Dynamics General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions didn't provide details on the product.
