Companies team for body armor improvements

SPRINGFIELD, Ark., Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Material Science company NanoMech Inc. and KDH Defense Systems are working together to improve body armor for U.S. military and law enforcement personnel.

Improvements to KDH's body armor include use of NanoMech's nGuard, a bacteria-resistant shield. The two are also developing a structured coating to prevent hard armor plates from damage during transportation and storage.
