"This contract continues Kelvin Hughes' long standing relationship with the RFA and builds on an increasingly successful supplier relationship with DSME, with whom we have recently entered into another contract to supply SharpEye-based systems for an ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) navy," said Rohan Dearlove, the company's head of business development for the naval market sector.

"This contract represents the first implementation of SharpEye on a key U.K. maritime platform and demonstrates customer confidence in our solid state technology and the inherent benefits it brings."

SharpEye is a digital radar system in X and S band frequencies.

Kelvin Hughes, a British company, said it will supply three subsystems -- navigation, the command and control system, helicopter control radar. Each shipset can be accessed and controlled via multiple console mounted tactical displays.
