The product line is comprised of hand-held and weapon-mounted models. They are low-weight units for crowd control, close combat and can also be used in extended range engagements.

CACI said that under the partnership it will provide key logistics support for the products, including deployment planning, installation and training, warranty management and sparing, field service representatives and help desk services.

"Our strategic teaming with Laser Energetics enables us to leverage the lifecycle engineering and logistics capabilities we have developed in our C4ISR market segment to enter the market for non-lethal technologies," said John Mengucci, CACI chief operating officer and president of U.S. Operations.

"We believe our companies can offer unique advantages for American troops as well as other military communities, border security, and peace-keeping operations."

"Teaming with CACI is strategic for our company to increase sales in the federal market," Robert D. Battis, founder and chief executive officer of Laser Energetics said. "We are excited to work with CACI, which has a significant presence in various federal organizations and a solid track record of innovative solutions delivery."
