BAE forms new partnership

BYDGOSZCZ, Poland, June 1 (UPI) -- BAE Systems, which has operated in Poland for more than a decade, has formed a new partnership to offer servicing of the country's C-130 aircraft.

Its new local partner is Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 2 S.A., which operates one of the largest aviation facilities in Poland for overhauling, maintaining and upgrading aircraft.

"With complimentary capabilities, our companies form a strong aviation team in the region," said Floyd McConnell, vice president of Integrated Aviation Solutions for BAE Systems. "WZL2 has a highly accomplished track record in Poland, and we have the global ability to meet a wide range of customer needs."

BAE said the service and sustainment partner agreement with WZL2, which was announced at Air Fair Bydgoszcz, is specifically for maintenance and supply chain assessments and other technical capabilities associated with servicing the C-130 Hercules aircraft operated by the Polish air force.
