FAIRFAX, Va., May 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation's next-generation crisis information system is to receive support services from SRA International Inc.

SRA, a supplier of technology and strategic consulting services, says that under the $19 million contract received, it will provide operations and maintenance support, program management and product development support for the FBI's online system known as ORION.

The operational response and investigative online network program provides case management and related information-processing functions to support law enforcement agencies around the country to enable a coordinated response in special event, crisis situations.

"We are proud of the confidence the FBI has shown in SRA over the last 13 years and look forward to continuing our work together to ensure the safety of the American public," said SRA Vice President of Law Enforcement and Justice Programs Jim McClave. "This project is indicative of the mission-focused IT work being performed by SRA's intelligence, homeland security and law enforcement professionals every day."

The contract is for one year and includes seven one-year options.
