It features modular, open architecture and can be easily configured into small tactical unmanned aerial vehicles, light reconnaissance aircraft, tactical aerostats and other craft.

ELM-2054 reflects the maturity and proven capabilities of ELTA's legacy ELM-2055DX SAR/GMTI modular payloads. It employs the latest advanced technologies to achieve high performance combined with a very low weight, small volume packaging and low power consumption.

"ELTA's years of experience, know-how and innovation continue to provide customers with unique products and capabilities like the new ELM 2054 radar," said Nissim Hadas, president of ELTA Systems Ltd. and IAI corporate vice president. "This system will support ground forces and save lives in regular and asymmetrical combat operations."

The Association of the U.S. Army meeting and exposition runs through Wednesday.
