$99M U.S. Navy contract for SAIC

MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Science Applications International Corp. has won a $99 million contract from the U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center for C4ISR services.

The prime contract for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award. It features a one-year base period of performance and six one-year options.

Under the contract, SAIC will provide services in areas such as operations and security management, help desk, training, shipping, transportation and equipment and system-related support for Navy and Joint C4ISR systems at worldwide shore and ship operational commands as required.

SAIC is one of two contractors that will compete for task orders under the contract.

"We look forward to providing SSC Atlantic with operational insight and knowledge management to help successfully integrate secure solutions to help naval, joint and national agencies achieve their critical missions," said Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
