Army picks CSC for systems support

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Technology company CSC of Virginia has won a U.S. Army contract for systems engineering and other services for battle command systems.

The contract to support the Army's Program Executive Office Command Control Communications-Tactical and subordinate program offices is for one year, with a 10-month option.

The total value is the option is exercised could be as much as $67 million, the company said.

"We are proud to continue our 16 years of providing PEO C3T with the specialized staff support and services to fulfill its challenging mission," said Austin Yerks, president of CSC's North American Public Sector Defense Group. "CSC combines strong engineering, logistics and business operations talent with system of systems life-cycle integration and proven program management processes to meet the needs of the Army Team C4ISR community."

Under the agreement, CSC will support a diverse range of engineering, architecture, integration and readiness services that span the total life cycle of battle command systems.

Services include system of systems engineering and integration, network and interoperability engineering, architecture development and information assurance. The company said the services will be planned and executed with special consideration for the U.S. Army warfighting mission and units as they undergo exercises and training events, deployment, operations, redeployment and reset.
